Titus peed on the potty.
Mommy and Daddy were thrilled.
Mommy jumped on that.
One day of potty training.
3 hits (one #2)
4 misses
Day Two of potty training.
2 misses
Refusal to take breaks to sit on potty got the best of Mommy.
Back in diapers.
Taking a break over the weekend and trying something different on Monday that may fit his personality better.
He can do it, but to some degree he has got to want it. Right? Well, who knows. In June I may try cold turkey, but for now I think I may just sit him on the potty first thing in the morning every morning to where it is a part of his routine. He doesn't handle change very well and it shows up in other areas that put me in a swivet.
A conversation yesterday with Titus:
Me: Are you a baby?
Titus: A boy
Me: Are you a big boy?
Titus: A boy
I think sometimes as parents we want previous stages back to relive moments again. Other times we want them to move onto the next stage of life, because a part of their attitude needs adjusted. Right now Titus is just a boy. He is no longer my baby (always in my heart though), but yet he isn't a big boy yet either in so many ways. He is just a boy and I need to enjoy every day of that. One day he will be a big boy and I will want, "My Boy," back.
