On my Kindle I have a drawing program. Titus and I will draw on it together. Many of times Titus tells me what to draw. He always has me draw a house, Mommy, Daddy, Titus, a dog, and a cat. Occasionally he will have me draw a boat with Mommy, Daddy, Titus, a dog, and a cat. In the back of my head I am thinking, "I hope this isn't his way of asking for a cat."
I was telling Aaron about this last night. His thoughts were that Titus has claimed the cat that mouse hunts in the woods behind us. Titus and I look for this stray occasionally, but with the cold weather we haven't seen it much. When we see it I do call it, "Our cat." Last night we saw a different cat coming from the woods. I said, "That isn't our cat. I wonder what happened to our cat." No wonder the kid thinks we have a cat. He can go on thinking we have a cat as long as that cat takes care of itself.
