Titus is not a very affectionate kid. By this, I mean he has never really been one to give hugs and kisses freely. He has never been a snuggler, except when he is sick or teething. He is Mr. Independent.
Yesterday evening I was wanting a hug from him. I bargained by giving him chocolate in exchange. He willingly gave me a hug and went straight to the candy jar.
Last night as Aaron was reading books to him before bed, I went in to give him goodnight hugs and kisses. Usually I am the one giving him a forced hug and a kiss on the cheek. I was surprised when I told him I wanted my goodnight hug and he immediately came over to give me a hug. In the back of my head I am thinking, "This is weird, but nice."
Titus looks up after the hug and says, "Sucker?"
Yep, Mommy is a sucker and I gave Titus his vitamin as a, "Thanks kid."
(His memory is improving!)
