Tuesday with Titus

I actually took these pictures on a Tuesday I spent with Titus and posting them on a Tuesday.

This was our first Tuesday, but Titus and I are going to start going to the library on Tuesday mornings for their reading hour. Titus enjoyed his first one. It will be a good opportunity for us to work on his attention span. The books were longer than he is use to with  a lot of interruptions by other children, which is fine, but it expanded the time for Titus to have to sit still. He did really well. I think once he gets use to the structure he will participate more too. He did a lot of watching the other children. When we got home he agreed to let me take his picture. I will have to take pictures one Tuesday while we are at the library. The librarian read two books, had them color the Big P and the Little p, had an art project, had a snack for them, and she did dancing and singing. Titus loved coloring and putting jewels on his crown (hat). As of last Tuesday we check out 5 books for the week for Daddy and Mommy to read to Titus for naps and bedtime.

 There is another place he likes to read too.

 He has me trained to put him on the potty for his #2. He actually told me himself he had to go a couple days ago, but potty trained is in the far future I think. He likes the convenience of the diaper for #1.

He is really into tents right now. Before his nap, we put one side of a blanket over a chair and the other side in one of his dresser drawers and read under the tent. We also place a blanket over his crib, so he can sleep in a tent. Here are pictures of him playing in a tent. These were also taken February 5th. He finished his pineapple under the tent. Yes, he did eat it.

 Titus had to build a house with his pineapple before he ate it though. He is into building houses and boats. He will use anything from food to toys to build them. Here is a picture of his pineapple house. I wouldn't guess it, but he tells me that it is what it is. So, you will have to use your imagination. Oh yeah, he always points out the door to the house. Which pineapple piece would that be?

February 12th - 14th Titus and I did some visiting up in Indy. My friends Zach and Susie had a gender reveal party on the 12th. They are having a girl. During the day on the 12th, Titus and I spent the day with my friend Julia and her two kids.

Titus also spent some time with my mom's dog, Lucy.

Titus likes to hang out in Daddy's office in the basement. Aaron works and plays on his computer while Titus plays with toys and watches tv. I came down to this one day. He grabs his toys from his baby days from the storage area of the basement and drags them to Daddy's office.

I tell Titus to get Zoey, our dog, a treat. Titus has access to Zoey's treats at all times. I come in the living room to this. Why doesn't this dog adore Titus? Lucy would and does, although this probably isn't the reason.

I had Titus put them all back in and just give her two. I love that kid!

One Cool Kid (Christmas Day)

Hanging with Titus is fun! He is a pretty cool kid. Papa thinks so too.

Titus' First Snow This Year

Titus experienced his first snow this winter in Minnesota, but in the year 2013 it was here in KY. This video was actually taken the beginning of January, but my video recorder is not set up with the correct date. It was definitely not taken  June 21, 2008 (which is what date is linked to the video). I should reset that sometime.

Here is another video that was taken soon after the Snow 2013 video. My little boy is growing up too quickly.

Christmas Eve in Minnesota

In Aaron's family we open Christmas presents Christmas Eve. We take turns from oldest to youngest, one at a time. Once the first gift is opened by everyone, then it starts back at the oldest again. Titus is, of course, the youngest. He did better than expected on waiting, since this is the first year he knew what gift opening was all about. He has a November birthday, so he had his taste. He did get to a tired point though where we let him finish opening all his gifts at once and took a break so he could go to bed.

I am surprised there are not more pictures of Titus. I have more pictures to come from the rest of our Minnesota trip. Titus was stuck indoors the whole time with it being so cold outside and him being sick. He did get to walk around the cabin a couple times in the deep snow to experience it. Those pictures are coming.
