Facebook and other updates

I realize that many things about Titus do not get posted on Titus' blog about his developments. Many pictures, but few words. So, here is an update on some things but of course I can't cover everything.

Colors - He is awesome at colors. He occasionally mixes up pink and purple, but otherwise knows all the popular ones like red, blue, orange, green, etc.

Numbers - We were at a gas station. Aaron was pumping. Titus keeps repeating the same thing over and over to me. I have no clue what he is saying. Aaron gets in the van and translates that Titus is saying, "Number Six." Our pump number was 6. Has he recognized a number since? He hasn't led me to believe so. That was around 2 months ago.

Counting - Last week Titus showed us he can count to 5. This week he can count to 10, but for some reason now that we have added 6 - 10 he wants to count, 1, 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10. He is getting there.

Alphabet - Everything is P.

Reciting Alphabet - Nope

Potty training - We had him poop trained at one point, but now nothing.

Talking - He talks a mile a minute and talks clearer every day. He is saying complete sentences to probably around 6 -7 words in a sentence. He'll try to repeat everything said.

Large Motor Skills - He loves jumping. He can jump up and down a stair. He can jump distance off of his bed. He has awesome soccer skills when kicking a ball. He can throw straight and hit you with a stuffed animal pretty square in the face. He can also throw a baseball straight. He has an "I did it" or an "I found it" dance. I should try to record it sometime. It is cute.

Random pictures from Aaron's Facebook:

He loves helping and he is getting pretty good at it.

He loves animals.
04-07-13 A couple baby bunnies found in our yard.
He loves "reading" and being read to. His attention span can now sit through Curious George and any other book of equal length with pictures.
04-03-13
He loves building things. I got out one of his future toys one night and it entertained him for about an hour. This also happens with play-doh, moon sand, and buttons.
03-13-13
He loves tents.
02-05-13
He had his first ride on a horse.
03-29-13
He was also one happy boy today with his sucker.

Titus has, of course, been trying to tell me "no" for awhile now when told to do something. It started out as, "no, no." It became, "nope." Then, it was, "no." Now, we have moved on to, "No, thanks."

Facebook posts in no particular order:

Posted 4/2  - I love how a 2-year olds imagination can turn anything into ice cream, including a bowl full of little people and animals.

Posted 2/21 - Tuesday I went somewhere and was not expecting to wait for 1/2 hour before I could talk to someone. Titus entertained himself with a simple cotton ball the whole time. He threw it like a ball, jumped on it, hid it in his shirt, etc. Yesterday I knew I would be waiting a lot at the doctor's office. I took a backpack with toys and I couldn't keep that kid entertained for nothing. Note to parents: Take a cotton ball everywhere you go!

Posted 3/4 - If you ask a two-year old where the batteries went to the remote and he responds, "Oh Yeah! In there." Chances are that the batteries are inside the wall where there is a small hole. I wonder what else is in there?
