Snowdog, Snowboy, Snowman

My dog loves the snow!

 My boy loves the snow!
Thanks Aunt Beth for the hat that is bigger than my head. :) We had fun in it today.
I told Titus to look at me.

I hear snowmen love snow too!

A certain little boy loved his first snowman. I told him to come in and he didn't want to. I told him he couldn't stay out all day with his snowman. He said, "Stay - All Day!" He didn't win that battle.

A certain mommy loves her boy!

A certain mommy had to promise a sucker in exchange for pictures of her son kissing a snowman.

 Two extra pictures.
Is it spring or winter?

A view from our backyard. I love where we live.

Bear in Underwear

3/8/13
Apparently, Titus thinks potty training is for the birds...or in this case, the bear.

His bear also seemed to be hungry and thirsty, so Titus made sure his needs were taken care of.

Adaptation with Art

3/11/13
I am an arts and crafts type of girl....

My son is not. I had a thought last week that my son would love to use an egg carton with paint to paint a sheep and flowers for the grandparents. Sorry grandparents! You will still get your "Happy Spring" card, but know it was not really your grandson who painted with an egg carton to make such a lovely spring picture. After "painting" a sheep and flowers, I let Titus loose with the paints, cardboard and 2 cars. I should have cut off a piece of cardboard and wrote 'Happy Spring' and let that be your Spring card. That would have been a Spring card Titus style.

Yesterday, I was looking on Pinterest for different ideas that I could re-purpose a used Oatmeal container.

IDEA #1
(Putting toothpicks through pre-made holes)

He enjoyed it for about 15 minutes.

IDEA #2
(a tunnel for his car - oatmeal container cut in half)

Last night he played with it for about a half hour. This morning it was cereal for breakfast that took him away. In the future, I need to adapt and think like a little boy when it comes to "art."

Library Hour on Tuesdays

3/5/13
Last week I was able to get pictures of Titus enjoying the library reading hour with the librarian. Last week was farm week and I find myself looking forward to today, wondering what the subject will be and what books we will find to bring home. We have found books that we really enjoy, such as "Sally's Purple Socks," "Spot" books, and "Arf, Arf, Arf to Z." I usually grab a couple Curious George books, since Titus likes them so much. I wonder what books we will bring home today.
Reading Books

 Snack Time

Arts & Crafts
(They colored animals and glued a barn on top, so when you open the barn doors you can see the animals that were colored.)
The square with the antennas is a television. He has me draw houses all the time. It use to be I had to add a door. Now I have to add a T.V. to the house drawing.)

Playing with Tractors

Apparently, my son has some dance moves he has been working on in private (probably in the crib). This is his version of dance moves to, "Old MacDonald had a Farm."

A Goodwill Find

Titus and I were browsing through Goodwill, when he said "Football." As his mom and him still speaking Toddlerese, I corrected him and said, "No, that is a desk." (or something to that effect) He repeated, "Football." I decided to pay attention to the kid and looked up to see what he was looking at. He had spotted a football, for sure. I couldn't tell you how many times this happens. The kid can spot balloons, balls, etc. from a mile away. I, on the other hand, need to look up more often and pay more attention to what is before me.

Apparently, Titus did not have "Stuffed Animal Storage" on his mind when I bought the football. :)

Daddy, More Jesus

Aaron posted this on Facebook last night and instead of writing it in my own words, I am copying and posting:
""Daddy, more Jesus!" It's a plea I hear repeatedly every night when putting Titus to bed. As part of our normal routine, one of the songs that I usually sing to him is 'Jesus Loves Me'. He uses that phrase as a ploy to keep me from leaving. How can you ignore that request? I pray that he continues to ask for "More Jesus" the rest of his life."
