Titus Turns 3! - Part 1

We held Titus' 3rd birthday party at my friend Robin's house this year. It was a Jungle theme. I made games for the kids to play, such as jumping on stones to avoid snakes, toss the bean bag in the lion's mouth, I Spy Jungle Animals with binoculars made from toilet tissue rolls, coloring pages, and stepping on lion and monkey paw prints. We had food such as Snake Eggs (green grapes), Dried Ants (raisins), chips (beetle wings), bananas for monkey, peanuts for elephant, etc. We also served Jungle Juice (Citrus drink with sherbert). Here are pictures:

Opening Presents and the rest of the party on a different blog post to come. I wasn't going to sort through all the present opening pictures, but then started to load them and realized there are 43 pictures. You probably don't want to see 43 pictures, so another blog post soon to come.

Diego and Thomas the Train

Titus has been in love with Dora and Diego what seems like forever. We can't hardly get him to watch anything else. Our friends, Ron and Chong, got Titus Thomas the Train Mega Bloks. He loves playing with Thomas the Train things and loves the idea of Thomas (calling him Komas), but hasn't really grasped the show. I'm hoping for some change, but we shall see. He also has 1 of the 2 Diego shirts on that Ron and Chong bought him. I actually took these pictures for them, but thought I would share, because I think he is so cute playing. He has gotten to a point lately where he plays on his own better, and this has been one happy mom. I love playing with him, but sometimes I do have to get things done.

Halloween 2013

Titus was Woody from Toy Story this year. He loved being Woody. We thought we would get him the movie for his birthday, since he wore the movie out when he was younger. He hated it. Apparently, Woody and Buzz argue a lot. It was a good thing he discovered that after Halloween.

Do you want the year to year Halloween comparison?

Next year, I probably won't be able to reuse his hat and bandana.

Titus' 1st Jack-O-Lantern

I didn't think Titus would be into the whole cleaning the pumpkin out and I really didn't think he would participate much with the whole making jack-o-lanterns thing. Last year we painted pumpkins and he hated it. He hates getting dirty and I have to wash his hands constantly, but he surprised me. He even took some of the pumpkin gunk out himself. He loved poking holes in the pumpkin, but this year I did a majority of the work still. He picked the face he wanted out of a book we checked out from the library. Here are pictures:

Carving the Pumpkin

I talked Aaron into coloring on his with a permanent marker. Here are the final products.
